Appreciates the Good

By: Ferdinand Panerio

A New Year greetings to you – my dear fellow countrymen, brothers and sisters of faith in South Korea specially to my mentors here Rev. Barnabas Son, Rev. Paul Shin, Rev. Paul Lee, to Rev. Henson Lim in Singapore, to the observer of United Kingdom, and in USA (California), to my neighbors and to Mr. James Jennings and the rest of you in Japan, to all my friends and counterpart in Godly ministry Mr. Jose Banaybanay, to the family circles, and to the City of Davao, specially to Hon. Paulo Duterte that welcome me. And because I am indebted of the handful among you for all the good things you shared to me. Where I treasures and learned new things under the sun. Thus, I wish that this first article of 2011 may guide us once again of the “Great Awakening.”

As we notice in our present atmosphere, the current of situations gives us message of urgency. As it encourage us to think about such things first before making decision. But in this point in time, I am only sharing you the important view and the benefits we could grasp by giving appreciation of good as worthy, pleasant, lovely and beneficial. It would never mean by trying to please everybody because ‘it is the key of failure’ according to Bill Cosby. If an individual learn to appreciate the good, then they become responsible of here undertakings.

It is common in our society that some if not most are too familiar with the mistakes of others even the very old past faults. They even might not notice the goods and the contributions in the aspects of life we had offer to them including with our friends. I believe we are not born to do evil, but for good. Yet, because we are part of the community influenced by the secularly worldview and affected by the inhumane- approach of the vicious individuals, and as we also shared and suffered some of the consequences and its circumstances. Sometimes we acted too different in our uttered-words through reasoning and sometimes the causes and effects of our choice.

Since then, of becoming not ignorance of these things of what happen around us. We become more able to learn to see the whole insignificance things of matters related to the practical and physical approaches happens in our surrounding. It comes to my mind that it was about the relationship we had in our acquired- principles and of the things we grasp through our experiences.

In my study and as experience-based is concern, I learned that we never just see the problems, in order to offer some its assumptions solutions. But its mean purposes are to sustain and harmonized the shared- common relationship and to foster among the believers soul that are awakened.

Danger of not appreciating the Good

The failure of not appreciating the good would leads to an individual to do unnecessary things, I which it affects some individuals. And it would also results to confusions of holding things as it involves our generalities of comprehension. Thus, it would impinge on our consciousness to loss focus on the essential things of life and to the growth of maturity would also possible become affected. Because, when these things happen, we can easily found ourselves into many diversions by giving less effort to our priority, even to notice that we often stepping others feet’s. By not admitting our failures from failures we become more reasonable that we then modified over our past failure and ungodly experiences.

WHAT DOES Matter

What does matter of appreciating the good? As I believe that those we known and named it evil person has even done good thing as well. Even, if such good were distasteful and inappropriate. But the point of the matter is, that through appreciation of good we become more open and able to give eras to others having a teachable attitude. Without appreciation of good it is impossible to be kind and gives respect to those who does good even not for us. Even Jeremiah was told by the Lord to ask in Him were the good way is (Jer. 6:16). In simple understanding, it remind us to search not just for common good, but the greatest Good in which it is only in the Lord (Psalm 145:9). And if we consider the good in our surrounding then it does matter in our ways of dealings. Because our attitudes was an evidence of our parents upbringing with our comprehension contributed largely of what we are showing as a whole (Proverbs 13:22). Even if “the practical good varies in its application,” as quoted from Aristotle’s Ethics. Thus, the appreciation of good helps us to be more kind to our peers while it develops a new attitude into our inner beings to be kind to others and our family, and not to an animal. Remember, if that the things you have in mind are for God, and then it is for good. But out from this, I could not guarantee your peace.

Thank you for reading and God Bless us all.

Rom 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
